Every week or two, we will feature an animal available for adoption through various shelters and rescue organizations in Arizona. All of the animals were photographed by AZ Pet Professional member, Jill Flynn of Visual Harmony Photography.

Shelters are filled to capacity with animals. The lucky ones get rescued by a no-kill shelter or other rescue organization that can care for them until they get adopted. The not so lucky ones end up at the pound or a high kill shelter. Everyone involved with animal rescue knows that mother animals and their babies are the first ones to be euthanized for the simple reason that there are not enough resources or time to care for them. Next on the list are sick and injured animals. Their plight is heartbreaking. Each time an animal is adopted, that frees up space for another one to be saved. Please share and help spread the word to find not only the animals featured here a loving home but all homeless animals around the world.

Featured Rescue of the Week - Blue



Blue is available for adoption through RESCUE.

Mr. Blue is an extremely sweet kitty that loves to snuggle with his people. The volume of his purring seems to increase in correlation with the amount of affection showered upon him. He has a great purr motor! Blue loves warm laps, enjoys being petted and likes being brushed. He takes pride in his handsome fur coat by keeping himself well groomed.

When Blue decides it's playtime, he doesn't sit still for a second. This active guy loves chasing after wand toys and playing floor hockey with plastic balls.

Blue is an affectionate, fun, and playful cat who will make a great addition to just about any family!
